Factory Manager

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

As a Sr. Manager, Factory Manufacturing Program Management you will be playing a critical role in the expansion of high-tech manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will have opportunity to manage continuously evolving exciting projects, leading teams to collaborate with all shops in Fremont Factory in Tesla to define the most optimized location for new processes, coordinating footprints, impacts and critical sequencing/timing to successfully execute projects. In addition, you will be responsible including but not limited to collaborate with facility and construction teams to plan the expansion of the plant, plan the scaling of the equipment on the manufacturing floor to enhance productivity, and launching new programs for operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Leading the collaborative partnership with construction and facility on plant expansion program
  • Develop and set into motion, innovative plans that reduce budget and/or condense schedule.
  • Present ideas and plans to executive leaders.
  • Quickly respond to queries and resolve any technical barriers to completion.
  • Collaborate with leaders from all shops to incorporate their needs on factory expansion plan
  • Develop communicate, and improve upon plans for logistics and other project plans.
  • Interface with engineering team, construction team, and commissioning team.
  • Enforce and maintain high quality standards for engineering drawings and for field installations by contractors.
  • Implement innovative engineering and design methodologies to support very aggressive program and construction schedules
  • Manage all aspects of technical planning, scope development, programming, design, and engineering during planning phase of project.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • BA Degree for  Management and related of Management

Work Experience

  • Six years experience by Management

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors and/or master’s degree in Construction, Engineering or Technical Field and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience leading work and/or program management teams in construction, workplace,or technical fields for mega and high-tech projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives or find the correct information.
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
