Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programms; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Developmentand and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar, Gambela , Oromia Benishangul and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position: 

Job Description

•  Managing the IT and communication equipment to ensure it is used effectively within the     programme
• Develop, if appropriate, relevant guidelines and policies e.g. online security, passwords, back-up procedures, anti-virus solutions, etc.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.      
• Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
• Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
• Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
• Creating communications content on behalf of an organization.
• Developing different visibility materials of the organization

Job Requirements

Education for ICT Officer

• BA in relevant subject and IT qualification
• At least three years related and proven experience in NGO sector

Skills

• Experience of training / coaching individuals in ICT skills at different levels of ability.
• Proven experience in writing reports, communications   and compiling necessary data
• Ability to work in the  hard to reach areas
• Ability to use computer .
