Contract term: 6 months -full time position, with possibility of extension.

Joining the COVID-19 response, EPHI , MOH and world bank (WB) have been supporting emergency response for the Regional and National Emergency operational Centre (EOC) to enhance the impact, reach and efficiency of responses through the integration and coordination national and regional PHEOC with the strong collaboration with the routine health systems. COVID-19 infection and maintaining the continuum of essential services of EOC through strengthening coordination and technical support at the national and regional level by deployment of technical assistance (TA).EPHI will deploy TAs who will be supporting the regional level Public health Institution/Regional Health Bureau. The TAs also will link with the PHEM, regional public health institution and RHB to regularly respond and update the regional level response and gaps in the areas of COVID-19.
Assignment area: Assignment area- Amhara region(1), AA (1), Oromia(1), Sidama(1), SNNPR(1), South west Ethiopia (1), Gambella(1), diredawa(1), Harar (1), Somali(1), Benishangul Gumuz (1) , Afar (1),EPHI-EOC.
Job description
· Collaborate and work with RHB’s (PR, Health education and promotion team) and regional public health institution.
· Utilize animation tools or methods to finalize animation projects based on the branding manual
· Ensure consistency and accuracy of animated design
· Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
· Creating images and layouts by hand or using design software
· Participate in briefing meetings regarding the materials content with communications team of COVID 19 EOC
· Submit details implementation plan schedule;
· Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
· Meet with team to review and discuss draft designs and amend designs after feedbacks
· Incorporate comments and finalize the designs.
·Provide both editable and appropriate versions of the designs.
· Work on other graphic related assignments given by supervisor during the contract period
Job Requirements
· First degree or masters in Design, Fine Arts, information technology, architecture or any related fields certified in graphic design.
Work experience
· Minimum 6 years and above for BSC and 4 years& above for masters
· Trained and experienced in Graphics design.
· Working experience in graphics design for health related materials especially COVID-19 is an advantage.
Skills
· Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram , twitter
· Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
· Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
· Understanding of communications &public relations.
· Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
· Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction.
Note: The intended graphic designer needs to use his/her own computers and digital tablets.
